An Approach to the “New” Core Music Standards
The National Association for Music Education (NAfME), in conjunction with the National Coalition for Core Arts Standards, released the new National Core Arts Standards on June 4, 2014.
This marks the first time that the National Core Arts Standards have been update since they were first release over 20 years ago. (1994)
This workshop will compare and contrast the new Core Music Standards with the old standards. Participants will also learn an approach for integrating the “New” Core Music Standards into their current teaching and department curriculum, regardless of teaching assignment or grade level.
